MAGNA Appoints MMD Mineral Sizing Africa as Southern Africa Distributor in Strategic Mining Alliance

In a move set to reshape equipment distribution across southern Africa’s mining sector, MAGNA—the Terex brand specializing in mobile crushing, screening, and conveying solutions—has officially appointed MMD Mineral Sizing Africa as its regional distributor. The announcement marks a significant milestone for both companies and signals a deepening commitment to high-output, large-scale mining operations across the continent.

Neil McIlwaine, Business Line Director for MAGNA, described the partnership as more than a routine distributor agreement. “MMD is a designer, manufacturer, and engineering company with a long-standing reputation for excellence and customer-first service,” McIlwaine said. “Their decision to represent MAGNA across southern Africa is a strong endorsement of our equipment’s performance and our shared commitment to supporting demanding mining environments.”

This collaboration also marks the first time MMD will represent a Terex brand—an alignment that underscores both companies’ focus on delivering robust, scalable solutions tailored to the needs of industrial-scale operations. MAGNA’s product line is engineered for throughput capacities of up to 1,500 tonnes per hour, making it ideal for Africa’s high-volume mining sites.
