Côte d’Ivoire’s Duékoué Copper Project Gains Momentum with Fieldwork Advancements
Duékoué, Côte d’Ivoire – UK-based Oscillate PLC has reported significant progress in Phase 1 fieldwork at its copper exploration site in Duékoué, western Côte d’Ivoire. The company is conducting geophysical surveys and soil sampling to evaluate the site’s potential for strategic metals.
The Duékoué project is part of a growing wave of copper exploration across West Africa, driven by rising global demand for critical minerals used in renewable energy and electric vehicles. Oscillate’s team is targeting high-grade copper zones and plans to initiate drilling in early 2026.
“We’re encouraged by the initial data and believe this site could become a key contributor to the region’s copper supply,” said Oscillate’s Exploration Director, Dr. James Muriuki.
The project also aligns with Côte d’Ivoire’s national strategy to diversify its mining portfolio beyond gold and manganese, with copper emerging as a priority for export and industrial use.
