Mine Entra 2025 Opens in Zimbabwe with Focus on Sustainable Mining Futures
The Mine Entra Exhibition 2025, which opened today in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is showcasing the theme “Beyond Extraction: Sustaining the Future of Mining.”
Running alongside the Africa Infrastructure and Built Environment Conference (AfriConfex 2025), the event has attracted 240 exhibitors, including 16 international participants from China, India, South Africa, and the UK.
ZITF board chairperson Busisa Moyo highlighted that exhibitors span the full mining value chain, from heavy equipment suppliers to green technology providers. The co-location of Mine Entra and AfriConfex was described as a strategic move to amplify cross-sectoral engagement, recognizing that mining’s future is tied to sustainable energy, infrastructure, and logistics.
The exhibition will feature structured procurement meetings between mining houses such as Zimasco, Unki Mine, and Hwange Colliery, and suppliers across the value chain. Tomorrow’s highlight will be the official opening ceremony, presided over by President Emmerson Mnangagwa, followed by a conference on ESG practices and sustainability in the sector.
