Sinomine targets 2026 production at Kitumba copper mine in Zambia

Sinomine Resource Group aims to start copper production in September 2026 at its Kitumba Copper Mine in the Mumbwa district of Zambia’s Central Province, according to a company WeChat post on Thursday.

Sinomine, which plans to invest $560 million in the project, said that on Monday it initiated stripping, or removing surface soil and rock, at the project.
